Dear Barn Buds, first off, I gotta say, booking band to play the Lost Mile Barn makes me a little nervous. Mostly because they are known for burning old wooden structures right to the ground. To put it simply...they're barnburners. The younger generation, I think, would refer to them as "fire". If you ask any guitar player who the best player in the land is, without hesitation, will say Jimmy Bowskill. It’s just the way it goes. Jimmy's been seen ripping guitarmonies with the Sheepdogs and now melting faces with Blue Rodeo and many other great artists alike.
When Brittany Brooks starts to sing, I instantly feel safe and sound. Her voice makes me feel like I’m laying in the wool of 1,000 well-kept sheep. The words Brittany sings, you believe and feel, in melodies that evoke all the good stuff. Her voice is a timeless gift.
